My 13 Favorite Ice Cream Flavors

With summer around the corner, I have recently found myself craving ice cream. And cold beer, but that’s beside the point. We went to the store last night to get ice cream and while trying to make up my mind, I thought, “Hey! Wouldn’t this make a great TT!” I would have posted some yummy pictures, but effing blogger wouldn't let me post any pictures.

1. Sticky Toffee Pudding – Haagen Dazs – Oh sweet lord. This is one of their newer flavors. It was actually the winner of last year’s ice cream contest. It is heavenly.

2. Coffee, Coffee, Buzz Buzz Buzz – Ben and Jerry’s – I love coffee ice cream, and this one is only available in the scoop shop. They don’t sell it at the grocery store.

3. French Silk – Edy’s – I don’t know if it’s the flavor of the ice cream or the gigantic chocolate chunks I love the most.

4. Mint chocolate chip – the green kind – This has always been one of my favorite ice creams. Then, they tried to make it white and put in real chocolate chips. Dude! No. Make it green, keep the chocolate flakes and I’m happy.

5. Dublin Mudslide – Ben and Jerry’s – Who wouldn’t love an ice cream that tastes like Irish Cream liquor.

6. Vanilla Bean – Breyer’s – I’m not a huge vanilla fan, but vanilla bean, I lurve!

7. Cappucino Chunky Chocolate – Braum’s – We don’t have a Braum’s store in town, so this is one I savor every time I go down to visit my parents.

8. Butter Rich – Maggie Moo’s – Oh Lord! An ice cream that tastes like rich creamery butter. *drool*

9. Cinnamon Buns – Ben and Jerry’s – Caramel ice cream with cinnamon bun dough and a caramel streusel swirl. Yum-o!!

10. Peppermint – Braum’s or Edy’s – I always stock up on this one around the holidays!

11. Cookie Dough – Any brand – I love cookie dough ice cream. In fact, I’ll just eat the cookie dough straight. I really don’t need the ice cream with it.

12. Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup – Edy’s – Chocolate Ice Cream loaded with peanut butter cups. This one is great when you’re PMSing!

13. Butter Pecan – Braum’s – It’s actually tough to find a good butter pecan ice cream. It has to have good quality pecans that are sweetened before added to the ice cream. Braum’s has a great one!

You're right about finding a good Butter Pecan ice cream. I recently bought one that should have been called 'Salt flavoured ice-cream'. Ewww!

I love your list of 13! I also stock up on the peppermint around the holidays...it's the only time you can get it. Edy's is the best w/ peppermint. They also are great for making special ice creams (this time of year) with the girl scout cookies. YUM-O!!

LOVE YOUR LIST! I'm in line buying Peppermint Ice Cream too. My mom used to laugh at me & my dad fighting over the carton when I was little and now I can eat a whole one all by myself. My favorite year-round ice cream is Chocolate & Peanut Butter. yum!

Sometimes having food allergies sucks. I can never try most of these flavours. Thank goodness for Chapman's peanut free ice cream or I'd have none at all ;(

I love ice cream, any flavor!

I never intend to do the TT; then I read your entry and think of something, and end up doing the meme anyhow. Geesh.

Those sound yummy! Being a cat though, the only flavour I ever get to try is a bit of vanilla in the bottom of a bowl. My humans say the rest of the flavours sound yummy, except for the coffee flavours. They are not coffee fans.

How can a list of favorite ice creams not have Chubby Hubby from Ben & Jerry's? Fudge, Peanut Butter and Peanut Butter Filled Pretzels...ingenious!

Hands down the best ice cream out there...

Of course, I'm on a weight loss program, so this only is purchased on the extreme rare occasion going forward...

I love ice cream with "stuff" in it, but I rarely buy it to have around the house.

My favorite: Moose Tracks (vanilla ice cream with swirls of michigan chocolate fudge and mini peanut butter cups!)

Oh - and at the grocery store the other day = I saw CARIBOU COFFEE ice cream. I was headed to work, so I didn't pick some up, but I was tempted (yes, it was almost my breakfast, so sue me...)

:)

I adore coffee ice cream. For the longest time it was so hard to find that flavor in Las Vegas now it is easier to locate.

Happy TT

Be well and enjoy the day

I'm so with you on the green mint with chocolate flakes. That's been one of my favorites since I was a kid.

I'll have to check out the Dublin Mudslide--is that one available in stores? Irish Cream is my husband's favorite.

Happy T13!
