Weigh In - Week 1

You all may remember that last week I made the brave (or completely idiotic, I haven't decided) decision to join Julie's weight loss challenge. I'm not brave enough to post my beginning weight, and no one's getting that out of me even if you ply me with liquor.

Well, this is the end of week one, and . . .

I lost 2.5 pounds! Woo hoo! Yay me!

The sad thing is that I usually celebrate with food, so I'm going to have to think of a different way to reward myself. Maybe a Seduction Soy Massage Candle. Mmmmmm . . . that sounds nice. And coffee! Coffee doesn't have any calories in it, right?

Kudos to all the other ladies who are working their butts off in the Flip This Body weight loss challenge. I toast you all with a non-fat frozen yogurt!

Congrats on your success.

I don't even own a scale. I feel it's bad for my self esteem.

Neila...

I hate to disillusion you, but caffeine is anathema to dieting. Learn to love decaf if you're trying to lose weight.

Congrats on the 2.5 pounds, though! Keep it up. And with all those interesting Passion Party things, I'm sure you can find some way to reward yourself...

Congrats on losing 2.5lbs! Great job!

Ian is right. You'll have to switch to decaf and you'll have to give up your creamers too - or switch to low cal low fat stuff.

Congrats on the weight loss so far!

d'oh. I'd rather be fat & caffeinated than switch to decaf!!!!
congrats on your first week!

Yay, you!

I have such a hard time finding non-food rewards.

How 'bout JEWELRY?

DUDE you totally didn't tell me this!!! How am I supposed to give you your kudos and proper blog link positioning in the race??? You're off the hook this time, but next week I'm expecting a full report. YAY NEILA!!!!

p.s. you don't have to give up coffee. Just drink less. I drink 1/2 to 1 cup each morning. I use 1 packet of Splenda and 1 teaspoon of Mike's full fat Hazelnut Coffeemate creamer, which only puts me back about 20 calories. It's totally worth it.

Be aware that coffee and any other drink with caffeine dehydrates you so make sure to compensate by drinking more water.

Good for you!! The massage candle sounds great, as long as a massage is included.
