Okay, who's seen the new Hardee's (or in some places, Carl's Jr.) commercial for their new Patty Melt?
I think it is wrong. My husband calls it edgy.
Edgy?! Oh what the hell ever! All I know is that his head pops up so fast every time this commercial comes on, I'm surprised he doesn't have whiplash yet.
I couldn't find it on YouTube, so you can view it here.
Dude! No! No. No. No. No. No. That is wrong!

Now I know why my hubby's been going to Carl's Jr. lately...
Oh My. I haven't seen that on our channels. Oh My
Don't you have to be 18 or older to watch that?
I certainly hope they don't play that food porn on Saturday morning tv!
Yep, Eric's gonna get whiplash over this one.
But, next time you have some private time with him, you might want to grab a thickburger and a white button down shirt... I'm just saying...
All I can say is, I'm glad we have neither restaurant around here. :)
OMG! You are right. This is so wrong!
We don't have either restaurant around my town!
Sex sells and it apparently also sells burgers.
I think it's wrong because no one who eats a lot of greasy fast food burgers is going to be that...uhm...healthy.
Well, it's not surprising. They are the same people who hired Paris Hilton to pimp their burgers not too long ago.
Actually, Paris would be the whore, not the pimp, wouldn't she?
They probably didn't want Paris whoring their burgers in her jail uniform. That commercial is wrong on so many levels! Yes, sex sells, but why do you need to used sex to sell a new burger??? Hello, it's food. Just food. It doesn't come with a coffee maker.
Hardees seems to have been targetting a male demographic with their ads for some time now. As a guy, I find that they not only catch my attention but also have me enthusiastically agreeing with the contents of every commercial. I can identify with them.
Obvious examples of this are the paris hilton ad, and now this patty melt commercial (this one is better). But others are ones showing a guy trying to make biscuits for breakfast but not having any clue how to even get the container open. Making a good breakfast is a pain.
Anyway, I don't know who's in charge of creating their ads but they're doing a killer job of appealing to their target audience.
Heh heh heh...good one!
