13 Movies In My Netflix Queue

1. Ghost Story – I just returned this one. A 1981 flick starring Fred Astaire, John Houseman and Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. It wasn’t quite as scary as I had remembered it was when I was 10, but it was still creepy.

2. Knocked Up – I’m beginning to wonder if I will ever see this movie. It has been #1 in my queue since its release, but I still haven’t received it. However it has gone from “Very Long Wait” to “Long Wait” so there’s still hope.

3. Don’t Look Now – This is one I haven’t seen in a few years. It’s a very creepy 1973 movie starring Donald Sutherland. I can’t wait to see this one again!

4. Film Crew: Wild Women of Wongo – Eric loves the Film Crew movies! The Film Crew movies are Mystery Science Theater revamped. We’ve seen to of them so far, and this one is next up.

5. Curb Your Enthusiasm – I just started watching CYE this season, and it is hilarious. I now have to catch up on all previous seasons. How many are there, anyway?

6. Mr. Brooks – I’m a little concerned about this one. I think it looks really good. But wasn’t it at the theater for like a week? That’s not a good sign.

7. Oldboy – This Korean psychological thriller is supposed to be awesome, and have a good twist. Plus, the director is a Hitchcock devotee! Dude, that’s all I need!

8. Ocean’s 13 – Someone please tell me this was better than Ocean’s 12, or I might have to remove it from my queue. Or I could just mute it and watch George Clooney. He’s got the whole Cary Grant thing going.

9. Sorted – This is an English thriller starring Matthew Rhys (I LOVE him) playing a lawyer who investigates his brother’s mysterious death.

10. Transformers – I saw this by myself over the summer, and I LOVED it! So, I put it in our queue and I’m going to make Eric watch it. I may just break down and buy this one.

11. Spiderman 3 – I didn’t get a chance to see this one over the summer, and it finally comes out on DVD next week. Woo hoo! I love a good Spiderman or Batman movie. I can’t wait for Dark Knight!

12. A Mighty Heart – I really want to see this even though I can’t stand Angelina Jolie. I think I can get past that for this movie, though. I have a feeling it’s going to be a two-fisted weeper.

13. Evan Almighty – I really love Steve Carrell, but I’m nervous about this one. I’ve heard everything from “It’s a good family film.” to “It sucks horribly.” I’m teetering.

"Ocean's 13" is every bit as fun as "11." You'll really like it.

We bought "Transformers" this weekend. I must admit it; I really liked it!

Although I haven't seen Mr. Brooks, I liked the fact that Kevin Costner took on a change of pace role. As for the movie's short box office run, I wouldn't necessarily use that to judge whether or not it's any good. I have seen some excellent movies that were flops and some stinkers that were box office hits.

The only one on your list that I've seen is Knocked Up - although having accidentally rented the 'Uncut, unrated' version, I'd really like to see the original. I'm sure there's a cute movie hidden in among all of the swearing etc. somewhere...

Great list! :)

I think you'll like "Evan Almighty." It is a little preachy (environmentally, not religiously) but it's cute. Especially the cute animals.

I haven't seen Ocean's 13 either, but I've heard that it's MUCH better than 12.

And just keep Knocked Up at the top of your list, it'll come through for you!

Oh I LOVE Ghost Story!

Knocked up - stinks

I either netflixed it or on demanded it and it was awful. Spiderman was good but I'm not a great judge of that kind of movie. I liked it.

Great idea for a TT! I have over 100 movies in my queue. Knocked Up is definitely worth waiting for! Ocean's 13 was much better than Ocean's 12. Evan Almighty was good too! I haven't seen Spiderman 3. I need to add that to my endless queue!

You still haven't gotten Knocked Up?
Er, I mean the DVD...
Glad it's not in my queue yet... I will wait a while.
Yeah, I think Transformers is on my "buy" list, too. (AFTER Lee is no longer living in the same house, so no one else has dibs on it!!!)

I loved Ghost Story - the book more than the movie but the movie was good too.

Hubbie wants to get Transformers so I guess (*sigh*LOL) I'll put it on our Blockbuster list.

Totally off topic but I absolutely LOVE the look of your blog. Can I ask you where you learned to do it and is there a place I can learn (I've been looking at Blogger Tips & Tricks but haven't figured out how to do everything I'd like to do). If you don't mind contacting me, I'm at veronica arch @frontiernet. net (no spaces).

That's quite a varied list. I've never heard good things about Evan Almighty, but I love Steve Carrell. I'm torn on this one!

I haven't been paying attention...didn't realize Ocean's 13 was out on DVD now. Must make a note to get that this weekend.

I'm not interested in seeing Knocked Up, but I figure we'll see Transformers pretty soon. I've always thought that Ghost Story was pretty spooky, but I like those movies that are spooky without being a total gore fest. I've heard that Mr. Brooks was pretty good, it just came out at the wrong time (wasn't it up against one of the Pirates movies or an HP movie?).
